Downtime, honestly

Expect your skin to feel hot and look sunburnt for the first day or two. Over the following days it becomes dry and starts to shed in a fine, sandpapery way as the new surface comes through. Most people are comfortable in public around day five to seven after full-face CO2, and considerably sooner after CoolPeel. Redness fades gradually over a few weeks.

The single biggest factor in how well this goes is aftercare. Sun exposure in the weeks after treatment is the fastest way to undo the result and risk pigmentation, so daily SPF is non-negotiable. How to tell if a clinic's CO2 is the real thing

"CO2 laser" is used loosely in this industry, and prices across Melbourne vary more than the treatments do. Before you book anywhere, ask three questions:
