Shinning Peel
The Shinning Peel is the lightest and brightest peel in our line-up. It is the one we recommend for first-time peel clients, anyone with mild pigmentation, and clients who want a real glow without committing to days of recovery. The name comes from the finish it leaves: a polished, almost lit-from-within look that holds for several weeks.
It is also the peel that does most of the heavy lifting in a regular skincare maintenance plan. We see clients monthly for this and they tell us their skin has never been more even.
What's in it
A blend of mandelic, lactic, and kojic acid. Mandelic is gentle on sensitive skin because the molecules are large and penetrate slowly. Lactic adds hydration and is the active that gives the immediate glow. Kojic targets pigmentation and helps prevent new spots from developing.
We layer the actives in a controlled application, then neutralise and follow with a hydrating mask and SPF. The whole protocol takes about 45 minutes.

How it feels
Most clients describe a mild tingling for the first few minutes which fades quickly. It is not painful and there is no need for numbing.
Downtime
Minimal to none. The skin will look slightly pink for an hour or two afterwards. You may notice a very fine flaking on days two and three that is barely visible and can be brushed away during your morning skincare. You can return to work or social plans the same day.
How often to have it
Monthly works well for ongoing maintenance. For more targeted treatment of pigmentation we suggest a course of four to six sessions, spaced two to three weeks apart, combined with home skincare.
What to do at home afterwards
SPF every morning. Skip retinols and strong acids for three to four days. A gentle, hydrating routine for the first few days, then back to normal.
Frequently asked questions
How is the Shinning Peel different from the other peels you offer?
It is the lightest of our three main peel options. The Aura Glass Skin Peel adds a salmon DNA infusion for hydration and bounce. The IS Clinical Prodigy Peel Elite is significantly stronger and produces visible peeling for five to seven days. The Shinning Peel sits between a gentle clinical facial and those deeper peels.
Will I see results from one session?
Yes. The brightness and smoothness are visible the same day and develop over three to five days as the surface refines. For pigmentation you will want a course.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. This is the peel we recommend most often for sensitive skin because mandelic acid is the gentlest of the AHAs.
Can I have this in pregnancy?
We do not recommend acid-based peels during pregnancy. We can offer a hydrating, enzyme-based facial instead which gives a similar refreshed look without the actives. Mention pregnancy at booking and we will swap the protocol.
Will it help my acne scarring?
It may improve very mild post-acne pigmentation, but it is not designed for actual scarring (the indentations left after acne). For scarring, microneedling or the Prodigy Peel Elite is more suitable.
Will I peel?
Most clients do not visibly peel. You may notice a very fine, almost invisible flaking on days two and three that comes off naturally during your morning cleanse.
How soon before an event should I book it?
Three to five days before is ideal. Same-day glow is real, but it builds further over the week.
Can I combine this with other treatments?
Yes. The Shinning Peel pairs well with LED light therapy on the same day, or with HydraFacial on a separate day. Microneedling we space at least two weeks apart from this peel.
