Lash Lift Aftercare: How to Make Your Korean Lash Lift Last 6-8 Weeks

A Korean lash lift gives you weeks of lifted, wide-awake lashes with almost no daily effort. How long it actually lasts, though, comes down to what you do in the first day and the small habits you keep afterwards. Here is exactly how to protect your lift so it holds for the full six to eight weeks.

The first 24 hours matter most

Right after your appointment the curl is set but still settling. For the first day, keep your lashes dry and away from heat and moisture. That means no steam, saunas, hot showers over the face, swimming or heavy sweating, and no oil-based cleansers or eye makeup. Water and steam can relax the new shape before it fully locks in, which is the most common reason a lift drops early.

After day one: keep it simple

Once the first 24 hours have passed there is very little to do.

• Brush daily. A clean spoolie each morning keeps the lashes sitting neatly in their lifted shape.
• Go oil-free around the eyes. Oil breaks down the lift over time, so check your cleanser, makeup remover and eye cream.
• Do not rub or pick. Sleeping face-down or rubbing tired eyes flattens the curl on one side.
• Skip lash curlers. You will not need one, and a mechanical curler can crimp a lifted lash.

Do I still need mascara?

Most people stop reaching for it. The lift already opens the eye, and if you added a lash tint your lashes look darker and fuller on their own. If you do wear mascara, use a water-based formula and avoid waterproof, which needs an oily remover to take off.

Why lashes lift differently on different people

Your natural lash cycle sets the ceiling. Lashes shed and regrow constantly, so as older lashes drop and new ones come through, the lifted look softens gradually rather than all at once. Finer or faster-growing lashes may hold closer to six weeks; stronger, slower-growing lashes can stretch to eight. There is no hard regrowth line, which is part of why the lift looks natural the whole way through.

When to rebook

Most clients come back every six to eight weeks, when the curl has relaxed enough that they miss it. There is no need to wait for it to grow out completely. If you are not sure of the timing, we will suggest a rhythm at your appointment based on how your lashes held.
